What if I can’t make it to practice?

We understand that families are busy with many different schedules during the Summer months. Attendance is NOT mandatory every single night but we do recommend participating at least 3 nights a week in order to receive enough points to get invited to the end of the year banquet. You should always check the website for the most up to date information about QTC!

What is the Spring/Summer Program?

Beginning in early May and continuing through the end of July, our Spring/Summer program is open to athletes 5 to 14. The program meets FIVE days a week (Mon-Fri) offering our athletes a number of opportunities to learn new techniques in training, running and field events. During the week, athletes are given 3 nights of practice to prepare for an intra-club meet on Friday evenings where athletes compete against each other.

What is Track & Field University (TAFU)?

TAFU is held on Wednesday evenings during the Track & Field season. During the program, our athletes ages 5-8 and 9-14 are trained in different techniques to improve their competitiveness. During the program we focus on health and nutrition, sportsmanship, training techniques, and proper T&F terminology.

Do you need to live in Quincy to be part of QTC?

NO! We welcome all athletes from around the Boston area and the South Shore.

How old does my child need to be to participate?

Due to our insurance waiver, athletes must be at least FIVE years old to become members of QTC. If your athlete turns FIVE during the Track season (April-July) they are eligible to become members.
